  • Cianciulli went to trial for the murders in 1946. Her court date was years later because at the time WWII was the main focus and court trials were put on the back burner.

  • She was found guilty of killing Setti, Soavi, and Cacioppo.

  • She was sentnced to thirty years in prison and three years in a criminal asylum.

  • She survived her thirty years in jail, which at that time in Italy was considered a life sentence.

  • However, she died in 1970 due to a cerebral hemorrhage (a stroke).

  • She died at the women's criminal asylum in Pozzuoli
